Creating a Bulk Form

To create a single form, at the top of the form designer you can select "Bulk" from the "Select Form Type" as shown below.  You then select the Entity Type, which out of box is only Asset.  Then you select Create.

General Tab

On the General tab, you can name the form.  This will be the name that shows up in the forms list in the application.  A description can also be filled in for the form you are creating.  You can also double check your Form type and Entity type on this tab found at the top left.  The "Published" check box indicates if it is published up to the application to be able to use.

The "Wait for missing keys" check box indicates how the scanning of Asset Tags and Serial Numbers functions.  If checked, the scan will wait for any missing key values, Asset Tag or Serial Number to be filled in before moving on to the next asset.  IE.  You scan the Serial Number of an asset and the asset does not have an Asset Tag.  The application is now "waiting" for you to scan the Asset Tag for that asset before moving on to another asset to scan.

Fields Tab

On a bulk form the Fields tab will have two sections, Bulk and Dog tag.  By clicking the add fields button a drop down list will appear with the available fields that can be added to the form.  The Bulk side of the form is where you would apply the fields to update the asset.  IE. Adding Assign to on the form, in order to assign a new user to an asset.

The Dog tag side of the form is where you apply the fields you want the user to see when an asset is scanned.  This is also the side where your key lookup value fields are applied  IE.  Adding Model to the dog tag so the user can verify it is the correct asset scanned. Note: When creating a bulk form Asset Tag or Serial Number HAVE to be on the Dog tag section.  They are our key look up values, without one the form is unusable.

Validation Tab

This tab allows you to add validation rules to the form.  On a bulk form the fields are separated by Bulk and Dog tag fields. For more information on validation rules please see Validators.  Note:  If you wish to remove a field from the form make sure you remove the validators first, then remove the field.
